A brief history
Quiz games moved from newspapers and radio into television game shows, pub quizzes, board games, and later digital formats. Trivia competitions work because a short question creates a shared moment of recall, debate, or discovery. The 1980s success of Trivial Pursuit helped make general-knowledge games a household staple.
